TF Amber Color Update Notice

Our Turtle-Friendly Amber LED color has been updated in response to
updated FWC guidance and enforcement standards.

Our previous amber was FWC-certified and fully compliant at the time of release.
As regulatory interpretation evolved to require stricter control of spectral output, we adjusted our amber LED chip to emit only long-wavelength light at or above 560 nanometers (nm) — the current threshold recognized for minimizing sea turtle disorientation.

While the updated amber appears slightly more orange/red than our original version, it remains the
least red, most amber-adjacent option in our Turtle-Friendly lineup and continues to meet
current regulatory and biological standards.

With its long linear beam, the Owl Micro Series fixture is your go-to light for outdoor living spaces. With this oblong optic, you can use fewer fixtures than when using traditional accent lights. This fixture meets the requirements of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for decreased lighting pollution on or near beachfront property to protect sea turtles. 

This turtle-friendly fixture is lightweight and easy to work with and its small profile, just 1″ x 1.25″, enables this specialty micro fixture to fit into tight spaces and remain out of sight yet offers wide light output. It functions well as a step light and for lighting up landscape areas with low foliage around trees and garden landscapes. Use our  full  or  front shields to prevent glare from being seen as the fixtures illuminate.
